Roxanne Mercado serves the firm as an of counsel. She has significant experience in civil and criminal appellate litigation, and arbitration. She has tried or been involved in cases before the trial courts, Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court. In addition, Ms. Mercado also has experience in acquisitions, banking, securities, and corporate compliance.
Ms. Mercado was an Associate Solicitor at the Office of the Solicitor General of the Philippines where she represented the Republic of the Philippines, its government agencies, and officials in criminal and civil actions, and advised government agencies in their policy formulation, interpretation, and implementation. Prior to government service, Roxie was a corporate associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan,
Ms. Mercado obtained her Master of Laws from Columbia Law School where she graduated with honors as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a Philippine Government Staff Development Program for Competition Law and Policy scholar. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree, major in Legal Management and Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines) where she also graduated with second honors.
