Atty. Michael Bandal graduated from Silliman University, College of Business Administration, majoring in Management. Upon graduation, he then proceeded to take up the degree of Bachelor of Laws in the same University. He was an academic scholar and student leader then. His name was entered in the Roll of Attorneys in 2006. Upon becoming a lawyer, he then joined the Mercado and Partners Law Firm.
In 2016, Atty. Bandal decided to join the government. He became a City Councilor of Dumaguete City in the same year and served until 2022. During his tenure as a public servant, he served as the Chairperson of the City Council’s Committee on Good Governance and Public Ethics (Blue Ribbon Committee), Chairperson of the Committee on Rules and Legal Matters, Chairperson of the Committee on Tourism, and Chairperson of the Committee on Personnel. He was also able to serve as the Chairperson of the People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) in Dumaguete City.
In 2016, Atty. Bandal decided to join the government. He became a City Councilor of Dumaguete City in the same year and served until 2022.
